CofA - Airworthiness Management
CAMO · Manuals · Training · Consultancy

Straight and level.

Continuing airworthiness management and technical documentation for aircraft owners and operators — so that what is true in the air is also true on paper.

Services

Four things, done properly.

Most of our work starts the same way: an aircraft that flies well and a record set that does not yet prove it. We close that gap and then keep it closed.

Continuing airworthiness

Continuing airworthiness management

Maintenance programmes, airworthiness reviews, defect follow-up, life-limited part tracking, and the assessment of airworthiness directives and service bulletins. We manage the continuing airworthiness of your aircraft so the next inspection, sale or lease transfer finds every record where it should be.

Technical publications

Manuals that hold up

CAME, maintenance programmes, procedures and forms — written to be used on the hangar floor, not only to be approved. We draft new documentation, revise what you already have, and keep the revision history clean enough that an auditor can follow it without your help.

Training

Training on your own procedures

Continuing airworthiness awareness and procedure training for maintenance, operations and management staff. Built around your aircraft and your documentation rather than a generic slide deck, and delivered on site.

Consultancy

Advice before it becomes a finding

Preparing an application, restructuring after an audit, or working out what a regulatory change actually means for your operation. Independent, practical, and delivered in writing you can hand to your authority.

Approach

Compliance is a habit, not an event.

One point of contact

You deal with the person doing the work. No account manager between you and the file, and no handover of context every time something changes.

Records that survive scrutiny

Documentation is written so a third party can reconstruct what happened and why. That is what makes a review straightforward instead of an excavation.

Fixed scope, clear price

Recurring management on a monthly fee, project work on a quoted scope. You know what a revision or a review costs before it starts.

About

Based in Ostend, working across Europe.

CofA is an independent aviation compliance practice based in Ostend. The work covers general aviation, business aircraft and helicopters: owners with a single aircraft, operators with a small fleet, and maintenance organisations that need documentation written by people who have to live with it afterwards.

Continuing airworthiness is the centre of gravity. Manuals, training and consultancy grow out of it, because documentation written by the people who manage the aircraft tends to survive contact with an audit.

Behind CofA are two people who come at the same discipline from opposite ends. One is a licensed aircraft engineer with more than fifteen years on fixed-wing and rotary types, a background in safety management and accident investigation, and current nominated-person responsibility for continuing airworthiness at two operators. The other has spent more than twenty years writing EASA-compliant manuals for operators, training organisations and continuing airworthiness organisations, and has worked with civil aviation authorities as well as with the private sector.

That combination is the point. One has issued the release to service; the other has written the procedure it is measured against. Your records are kept by people who know what a reviewer will ask for, because they have stood on both sides of the question.

Working languages are English, Dutch and French. Documentation is delivered in English unless your authority or your organisation requires otherwise.

A short description of your aircraft and your current situation is enough for a first answer. If it turns out you need something we do not do, we will say so.
